Yoga Nidra is the practise of resting in a comfortable place, whilst being guided through a series of gentle mind exercises, that allow the body to truly deeply relax. The benefits can be amazing. It is like having a treatment only the effects can be so much more profound. It has been called transformational sleep. It is also known as Yogic sleep.
History: The art of Yoga Nidra is known to be over a thousand years old. It was first mentioned in sacred texts called the Upanishads.
Classes are held on the first Monday evening of the month at 8:30 to 9:30 pm on Zoom.
You will need a blanket, a pillow and a couple of cushions, a quiet room, a glass of water and maybe a little something sweet to eat afterwards.
Comfort, Rest and focused awareness are key features of this class.
The class is suitable for anyone. It is particularly beneficial for anyone with stress issues or physical discomfort.
